Our Hens Party Half Day Wine Tour is a unique way to experience the Hunter Valley with its beautiful scenery and award-winning wine and produce. It runs for 3.5 hours and includes wine tastings, cheese + chocolate tastings and transfers from local accommodation to the carriages and return.

The venues we visit are dependent on availability and may include Pokolbin Estate, Tamburlaine Organic Wines, Vamp Lisa McGuigan Wines, Sobels Wines, Pokolbin Village Smelly Cheese and the Pokolbin Chocolate shop.  Most of our venues provide our groups with private sit-down tastings where you will learn about the processes involved in making these beautiful wines.

As this is a private tour we can be flexible with your itinerary so please let us know your wish list and we will try to accommodate. You are welcome to bring along drinks and nibbles for your time on the carriage - there is plenty of room for an Esky or picnic basket.

Our carriages are completely covered and have padded seats, ensuring you stay comfortable during your tour. In the event of wet weather, we even have drop down see-through curtains on all of our carriages meaning no last-minute cancellations. This tour allows you to completely immerse yourself in the experience of tasting some of our amazing Hunter Valley wines.

Enjoy the clean country air as you are taken through local backroads and vineyards from one tasting experience to another by team of our beautiful heavy horses and some of the best tour guides in the Hunter Valley.

Sample itinerary for afternoon session 1.30pm to 5.00pm is as follows;

1.00pm - Pick up Hens Party from local accommodation to deliver to meeting point

1.30pm - Tour Starts - Depart meeting point, 426 McDonalds Rd Pokolbin

1.45pm - Pokolbin Estate Wines - Wine Tasting

2.45pm - Tamburlaine Organic Wines - Wine tasting

3.45pm - Pokolbin Village - Smelly Cheese Shop and Pokolbin Chocolate Company - Cheese and Chocolate tastings (you may choose a 3rd winery here instead if you would prefer)

4.45pm - Tour Concludes, return to meeting point, 426 McDonalds Rd Pokolbin

5.00pm - Return Hens Party to their accommodation
